Palawan Fishing Buddy is a local fishing charter and adventure service based in Palawan, Philippines — one of the richest fishing grounds in the country. The waters around Palawan are known for their abundant marine life and diverse fish species, making it a paradise for anglers and ocean lovers.
What started as a small fishing adventure among friends grew into a charter service dedicated to sharing the incredible fishing opportunities of Palawan with visitors from around the world. We believe that fishing is more than just catching fish — it's about experiencing nature, building friendships, and creating lifelong memories on the water.

The best offshore fishing in Palawan runs April to October when sea conditions are calmer and pelagic species are most active. Outside this window we still fish — conditions just require more flexibility.

Charter Rules &
Safety Policy
Your safety and enjoyment matter to us. Please read these before your trip.
The safety of all guests and crew is our top priority. Safety always comes before fishing.
All trips are strictly weather dependent. If sea conditions are unsafe the trip may be postponed or cancelled.
The captain has final authority on whether a trip proceeds based on weather and sea conditions.
The boat carries life jackets, a first aid kit, communication devices, and navigation lights.
All guests must follow the captain's safety instructions at all times while on board.
We follow local regulations and seasonal restrictions. Some species may be released for conservation.
Moderate consumption is allowed. Excessive drinking is not permitted for the safety of everyone on board.
Guests are responsible for their personal belongings and conduct throughout the trip.

John U. Orqueza
Founder of Palawan Fishing Buddy, John started as a passionate jigging angler. After years of exploring and fishing the rich waters of northern Palawan, he established the charter to support the growing sportfishing community. With access to over 100 kilometers of fishing grounds across Tinitian Bay and the Dumaran Channel, John specializes in helping anglers experience world-class jigging adventures.
Cecil Torino
With more than 15 years of experience at sea, Captain Cecil is highly skilled in navigation and boat handling. His extensive knowledge of the waters of the South China Sea and Sulu Sea ensures safe and efficient travel to our fishing destinations.
Jojie Pajaro
Jojie Pajaro is our licensed tour guide and on-call butler for fishing trips at Palawan Fishing Buddy. With his local knowledge, friendly personality, and commitment to excellent guest service, Jojie helps ensure that every fishing adventure is safe, enjoyable, and memorable. Whether assisting with guest needs onboard, coordinating logistics, or sharing insights about Palawan’s beautiful coastal destinations, Jojie is always ready to provide professional support throughout your journey.

Born and raised in Barangay Jolo, Esiquil has been fishing since he was 10 years old. With a lifetime of experience in traditional local fishing, he has deep knowledge of the fishing grounds, seasonal fish movements, and the most productive spots around Tinitian Bay. A dedicated family man and full-time fisherman, he is an invaluable member of our team.

Allan and Vecar are our attentive, hardworking support crew. They assist with fishing operations, guest safety, tackle preparation, and overall charter logistics, helping ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for every guest aboard.
